Books I recommend:
Free Play by Stephen Nachmanovich Stephen writes about improvisation from his expertise as a musician. I have found this to be a bible of guidance applied to my intuitive style of painting.
I – Thou (link is video 4 minute summary) by Martin Buber. The relationship “I-Thou” describes my experience when painting.
Wild Mind by Natalie Goldberg Great exercises for bypassing the "judge" and accessing the free flow of intuition. Although this is for writers, it also applies excellently to painting.
Wolf Sanctuaries
The Rocky Mountain Wildlife Foundation Guffey CO 80820 Mark Johnson originally founded this sanctuary because of "Cheyenne the healing wolf." He needs money for fencing to give his "pack" of captive born wolves more space.
The Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center Divide, CO 80814 Is a beautiful sanctuary and education facility with wolves, foxes and a fun gift shop
Wolfwood Refuge Ignacio, CO Paula and Craig Watson are a selfless couple who have dedicated their lives to provide a safe haven for wolves and wolfdogs who would otherwise be put to death.
Equine
The Medicine Horse Program in Boulder, Colorado is a great program for helping at-risk youth, veterans and wild mustangs.
The Cloud Foundation is dedicated to the protection and preservation of wild horses and burros on our western public lands with a focus on Cloud's herd in the Arrowhead Mountains of Montana.
